BIOGRAPHY

Ian McAvoy is the Founder and CEO of Volterra Technologies, where he leads the development of EVCare, an AI-powered battery health intelligence platform for transit agencies managing electric vehicle fleets and battery energy storage systems. He brings over three decades of experience in clean mobility, having founded and led Canadian ventures at GreenPower Bus and Thomson Power.

Ian previously served as an executive at San Mateo County Transit and Caltrain, leading strategy, planning, and infrastructure programs across the Bay Area.
